Fios is no doubt the better options here. It is faster has better options & its basic Internet plan is cheaper & gives the same speed as the basic Internet plan of the Spectrum. So, if you have both options available, get Fios. It’s better.

But, the availability of Fios is kinda limited right now so, first check in your area if their service is available. If not, Spectrum is actually a good option. You can also look out for Xfinity if that’s available. We’ll link the comparison of Xfinity & Spectrum in the suggested articles section below.

Differences in Platform and Services

There is no major difference in the platform. Both services are cable based. So, the signal is received in the DVR through cables. No satellite dish antennas like Directv in this case. So, the services should be uninterrupted until the cables get damaged. Bad weather should not be an issue here.

There is a slight difference with service though. However, they don’t have a media streaming service.

There is also a $39.99 plan which gives an additional 10+ TV channels alongside the 60 Mbps speed. For Spectrum it starts at $44.99 & the speed is actually slightly better at 100 Mbps.

Xfinity vs Spectrum – Which one to choose?

If availability isn’t an issue, we recommend you set your preferences based on your most important requirements. If you need a dedicated on-demand streaming service then, Xfinity is the way to go.
