Xfinity vs Frontier

We have already compared Xfinity to many of the popular TV & Internet services providers in the US. Today we’re comparing it with Frontier, another well-known name in the world of Internet service providers. So, what happens when we do an Xfinity vs Frontier head to head comparison? Well, keep reading.

Xfinity vs Frontier Internet

Frontier does have TV services but, they are so limited that you cannot get that in most of the places. So, we’re comparing the Internet plans only. We’re also not including any Xfinity or Frontier bundle plans as they include TV plans as well. Here we’ve compared the most common plans available in different areas of the United States. Depending on where you live these plans might be different but the overall scenario will be pretty much the same.

Service Plan Speed Price
Xfinity Performance Starter 15 Mbps $19.99/month
Xfinity Performance Plus 60 Mbps $29.99/month
Xfinity Performance Pro 150 Mbps $44.99/month
Frontier Internet 6 Mbps $27.99/month
Frontier
Preferred Internet
25 Mbps $34.99/month
Frontier
Premium Internet
45 Mbps $44.99/month

So, as you can see in the table above, Frontier’s plans are comparatively expensive & the speeds are slower too. As we’ve mentioned earlier, depending on where you live, these speeds & prices may vary but, that won’t change the overall big picture. Right now Xfinity is offering a way better value as of now. Also, there are higher plans but, we have only included the most common plans that are widely used. Overall,

So Xfinity Wins?

Xfinity clearly wins this one without a doubt. Frontier is offering way slower Internet for a higher price so, we actually don’t see many reasons why someone should get Frontier over Xfinity. The only reason that exists is the no long term contract facility of Frontier. So, you can change or stop your plans any month & you don’t need to sign for a one or two-year-long contract. But, for Xfinity, you have to sign in for at least a one year contract to get the above-mentioned prices for the 1st year. If you get a No Term Agreement, the prices increase by $20. At that point, you may have to think again.

But, if you’re going for the 1 Year contract, Xfinity is the best option that you can get. Also, Frontier availability is quite limited too so, it may not even provide service in your area.

So, that was our Xfinity vs Frontier, Internet service comparison. If you have any other doubts or general questions, please drop them in the comments section below.
